An F (3.75 mm) crochet hook or one that is appropriate for the size yarn you use
Beige yarn
A small amount of black yarn
A small amount of white yarn
A tapestry/yarn needle
12mm safety eyes (or you can embroider them on, that's up to you)
Scissors
Stuffing (I use polyester fiberfill)
(A small note, the box(es) in front of each line are a trick that I use, if you want to print out the pattern then you can check off the boxes as you go. I use it for when I need to get up and do something in the middle of crocheting a part of an animal.)

You should now have six or seven sts left, simply thread through them and pull shut. Weave the thread back into the head.
(Or, if you're lazy like me, just stuff the thread back inside the head)

I need help understanding as I am new to crochet and self taught, so if a talented lady or man read this, maybe you can help me understand. My issue is with round 3 as I have begun the pattern numerous times and it gets uneven and ugly after I begin this step. Am I suppose to be stitching the first hole and increasing 2 and then skip that sc hole and stitch the next one. This is the only way the circle can remain even as if I have just finished round 2 and have 12 holes to stitch 18 for row 3? That doesn't work evenly unless I skip a stitch and sc 2 and then skip a stitch and stitch 2 sc and then skip a hole...does anyone understand my question? Please help and if whoever helps me doesn't mind maybe I can ask more questions.
ReplyDeleteI am Chrissy Castro not Ruben haha
ReplyDeleteHi, Chrissy, you have the right idea, the way it is written, you do one sc, then Inc by doing 2 sc in next stitch/hole And repeat.all the way around. So you will increase by 6 to total 18. In the next round, you do sc,sc then 2in same hold, and repeat all the way around. This pattern is worked in continuous rounds so it is helpful to put a stitch marker in the first stitch send move it as you go. The next round is sc,sc,sc (3sc) then 2sc in same hole. I hope this helps. You can e mail me at jrbenes@gmail.com. Jaclyn
ReplyDeleteJaclyn, yes it helps a bunch and I got it done and it looks pretty great. I'm happy with it but you are awesome! I didn't think anyone would respond and you did. Thank you, that means a lot. So, I will probably be emailing and bugging you by asking questions or showing my finished projects. Esp.
